The “Mobility and Posture” project proposes the use of computerized diagnostics for the rapid detection of possible impairments of posture, gait and mobility of children, suggesting that they are identified and possible methods of treatment. We use P Walk portable equipment to evaluate the posture, walk and balance and VALEDO for the column; The equipment is of state-of-the-art, non-invasive, with sensors and high-performance software for detection of walking and spine deficiencies.
For the implementation of the project in Alba Iulia, Physiomed collaborates with the general schools and the local partner Bio Therapy Plus.
The main objective of the proposed solution is early detection of deficiencies, identification and treatment of pathology related to gait, balance and posture using Valedo devices and P walk.
The P walk device performs the functional analysis of a cycle of walking through static and dynamic measurements, carried out on a sensor-driven surface, computerized data analysis based on standardized data, which are automatically compared with Values obtained following examination.
The VALEDO concept provides an easy and reliable way to determine the posture and mobility of each individual segment of the spine, combining special sensors with specialized software that analyzes all column-related information With special advantages by:
-Accurate (static and dynamic) assessment of the spine
-3d visualization of the shape and mobility of the spine
-Recommendations on the therapy of potential diseases
With this evaluation of children, it is desirable to detect in the early stages any posturing and walking problems, which may subsequently be treated through specialised procedures.

The systems used allow for the rapid detection of possible posture, gait and mobility shortcomings, being especially recommended for testing children 8-11 years, the period during which corrective action can be applied effectively.
For evaluation, we use 2 equipment, P walk to evaluate the posture, walk and balance and VALEDO for the column; The equipment is of state-of-the-art, with high-performance software for detection of walking and spine deficiencies, is non-invasive, and the investigative time required for a child being 5-10 min.
1) BTS P-WALK performs the functional analysis of a cycle by walking through static and dynamic measurements of planting pressures.
Planting pressure Analysis:
BTS P-WALK allows evaluation of how planting and forces pressures are distributed, both in static and dynamic phase (during walking). It helps to identify the planting overload, rotations and postural asymmetry.

P-Walk has numerous applications in orthopedics, neurology, diabetic foot, Parkinson’s disease, preventing the risk of falling of elderly patients, etc. In children’s case, you can quickly detect possible motor deficiencies and the best treatment methods.
Valedo allows accurate evaluation of the spine and 3d visualization of the shape and mobility of the spine. Depending on the results, individual and relevant treatment can be planned, as well as monitoring the progress of therapy.
After testing at the sports classes of more than 30 fifth-grade children in two schools in Alba Iulia, for more than 65% of them posture deficiencies were identified (especially scoliosis tendencies). Therefore, we propose to continue the project in other local schools and to transmit completely confidentially results and where appropriate, parental treatment recommendations.
